What you will see
The Snowberry is a real house at 4318 W Crawford St in Denison, not a building designed to look like one. As you move through the tour, look for the rooms that shape an ordinary day here:
- The living room, where there is always a seat by the window and the afternoon light does most of the decorating.
- The dining room and the one shared table, set for twelve, where meals are cooked from scratch by our in-house chef and eaten together.
- The kitchen, which residents are welcome to join, whether to knead bread or just to be where the good smell is.
- A private bedroom, your parent's own, with room for the chair, the quilt and the photographs that make it theirs.
- The sitting room, quieter, for a visit, a nap in a recliner, or a book.
- The backyard, with raised garden beds, a pergola, and a footbridge to the fountain, where a good part of spring and fall is spent outdoors.
Then come in person
A tour on a screen tells you about the rooms. A visit tells you about the people. Walk through, take a cup of coffee, stay an hour, and watch how the caregivers and residents talk to one another. That is the part no camera catches.
Tours are by appointment, so there is time to sit and talk. Schedule a quiet tour or call Chris Casto, our Executive Director, at 903.337.1003.
